Packaging, Presentation and Personalisation:

See our  Packaging  page for more information on the presentation of our good luck gifts and how they can be personalized with a brief message.

All presents come in a presentation gift box with a good-luck information card about luck and the Indalo. Consequently, any gift can be personalized by writing a brief message on the card. If you want us to ship your personalised gift direct to a friend, loved-one or colleague, we can write a short message on your behalf and enclose it with the box. Just add your message in the Message Box above the 'Add to Cart' button on the purchase page.

No two products are exactly the same; The hand-crafting ensures that every gift is unique.

There is a great amount of folklore and superstition associated with marriage . .

Many superstitions are so ingrained that they have become a regular part of wedding traditions: The reasons why a bride wears white and a veil, why the groom carries the bride over the threshold, why have a best man and bridesmaids, why we still decorate the getaway vehicle with noisy items and why the bride should have something old, new, borrowed and blue. They all come from wedding folklore and superstition. And many involve good (or bad) luck.

Do you know someone who could benefit from some special luck on their wedding day - or some lucky gifts for the wedding party or guests?

Wedding favours for the Bride - or guests

The groom is supposed to carry a small mascot or charm in his pocket on the wedding day for good luck.  The best man should pay the fee of the minister in an odd amount of money in order to bring luck to the newly-wed couple. In some parts of the UK it's also traditional for the bride to place a new coin in her shoe for good luck. Ivy in a wedding bouquet, assures luck, lilies signify purity, apple blossoms, better things to come, and myrtle is supposed to bring good fortune. Egyptian women are known to pinch the bride on her wedding day for luck and in Holland a pine tree is planted outside the newlyweds' home for good luck and fertility.

Wedding favours are small gifts which the bride and groom give to their guests during a wedding ceremony or  wedding reception to pass on their good luck. The tradition of giving wedding favors dates back many centuries to when European aristocrats (originally the French) would give a gift of a bonbonniere to their wedding guests to take home - a small box that contained sugar confectionery. In the thirteenth century, almonds coated with sugar, known as confetti, were introduced and over time, replaced the bonbonniere. Traditionally, five Jordan almonds were presented in the confection box or wrapped in elegant fabric to represent fertility, longevity, wealth, health and happiness. By giving these favours such as lucky charmstones to their guests at the reception, the bride and groom are passing on their good luck, making perfect traditional keepsakes for all the wedding guests.

Our lucky charm-stones come from Almeria in southern Spain close to where the original Indalos were discovered. This is a region of ancient culture believed to be the origin of the Neolithic civilisation that spread up into the whole of northern Europe between 4000 and 2000 BC - and the beginning of a megalithic era that was one of the great periods of Spanish and European history and included the construction of the mystical monuments of Stonehenge and Avebury in Britain. Cave paintings of Indalo-type shapes mingle with representations of suns, spirals, animals and labyrinths, each with their own mystical and esoteric meaning.

Pass on your good luck sentiments to friends, loved ones and wedding guests . .

The Indalo is reputed to have mystical powers to bring luck, good fortune and happiness. So . .

*  FOR THOSE THAT SEEK happiness, prosperity, friendship, protection, and good health . .
*  FOR THOSE WHO WANT more luck, love, confidence, success, and achievement . .
*  FOR THOSE WHO want their dreams to come true . .

Each lucky charm stone on this site is hand-painted and so although the colour, size, etc, can vary a bit from the photos shown here, it is used as a recognised but unique way to express goodwill wishes and desires. The accompanying information card about good luck and the Indalo can be personalised with your own special message.

The gift of an Indalo is perfect . . saying Good Luck, Congratulations, Best Wishes, With Love or Thank You . . in its own special way.
